" I was 28 years old and diagnosed with fibromyalgia and polycystic ovarian syndrome. My reproductive endocrinologist told me that my best choice at raising a child was to adopt as he could not fathom seeing me going off my many medications and conceiving - either naturally or with intervention. Kathleen helped me completely make over my ideas around health, diet and fertility. I was able to get off my pain medications and antidepressants and was naturally pregnant within 8 months. My husband and I could not be more thrilled with our family which now includes a beautiful baby boy."  - Fibromyalgia, PCOS Patient

NOURISH THE SOIL TO PLANT THE SEED

Kathleen Lee's philosophy around fertility is based on the idea of "nourishing the soil to plant the seed". Kathleen is passionate about providing comprehensive care for her fertility patients throughout the entire journey. At Kathleen Lee Acupuncture, her unique approach begins with an in-depth analysis to uncover any underlying factors that may be preventing you from conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy. She begins by assessing both the future mother and father using the most accurate hormone saliva testing. This allows her to create a specialized plan to fit the direct concerns of the couple. Kathleen works with both the mother and father as a team to address diet and lifestyle modifications even before conception happens to ensure that the developing infant is conceived and grown in an optimal environment. She has supported patients on a wide spectrum of conception methods including natural conception, IUI and IVF and has the knowledge and experience to tailor each treatment to fit the needs of the parents and growing baby. Kathleen uses fertility acupuncture, herbal therapy, stress reduction, whole food nutritional supplementation, and diet to effectively treat a whole range of fertility issues including:

  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Endometriosis
  • Poor Ovarian Reserve
  • Elevated FSH (in both males and females)
  • Suboptimal Egg or Sperm Quality
  • Hypogonadism

Kathleen Lee has invested many post-graduate hours studying reproductive medicine. Recently, she had the privilege of attending the 2015 Integrative Fertility Symposium where she was able to learn from experts from all over the world in the field of Oriental Reproductive Medicine and bring all those methods to her own treatment room in Santa  Cruz, CA.
